Kalinga ni Psalm Pablo, located in Phase 8A, Bagong Silang, Caloocan celebrated its grand opening today, April 28, 2021. The grand opening included a short program and the blessing of the shop by Fr. Flavie Villanueva, SVD and Fr. William Pondo, CP.
Program PagHILOM, through its Livelihood Program in partnership with Amnesty International (AI), seeks to help those that have been left widowed and orphaned. Many have lost their heads of family and have no source of income. Now, with the onslaught of the deadly coronavirus, the families are made more vulnerable and in need. As they rise from being victims by earning a living for their family and loved ones through this livelihood endeavor, they too would like to offer and provide the community with a sumptuous and reasonable meal during this time of hunger.
Kalinga ni Psalm Pablo is operated by the livelihood grantees from the families of Program Paghilom under the care of Arnold Janssen Kalinga Foundation Inc, and grantees from St. Paul Parish of the Cross. The grantees trained for the past weeks under our partner, King Psalm Lechon Manok at Liempo.
After the Blessing and program, what caught our attention was a group of women who bought ‘lechon manok’ in order to share in their community pantry.
Be a partner-in-mission in recreating and empowering the lives of the wounded and the poor!
