In this rainy day, Arnold Janssen Kalinga Center was blessed when Sr. Clare Salvani, RA decided to celebrate her 50 years golden jubilee as a Religous with the Religous of the Assumption.
With her fellow Sisters and companions, we finished the day by providing Kain-Aral-Ligo Ng umAyos (KALiNgA) to 231 homeless brothers and sisters. (We normally average around 250-300 during Saturdays.
But, its worth noting that after each beneficiary comes out of the showers, get groomed and receive their plate with 2 viands and Sinandomeng rice, they are also allowed to go back for a second, third and even a fourth serving of viands and rice! One thing is requested, leave no grain on one’s plate.
With 231 beneficiaries recorded, any guess how many plates we served today??
